NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Britain’s inflation is the highest it’s been in 40 years after UK food prices rose at the fastest pace since the 80s.

Food items such as meat, bread, milk and eggs jumped more than 14% in September.

These numbers fueled demands for the government to do more to help families and retirees.

As British Prime Minister Liz Truss struggles to keep down a hostile opposition and fury from her own conservative party; she apologizes to parliament.
