NEW YORK – The suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson pleaded not guilty in a New York Courtroom Monday.

Luigi Mangione faces state murder and terrorism charges, along with federal charges, including murder using a firearm, which could carry the death penalty.

Authorities say the 26 year old who was arrested in Pennsylvania with a 3D-Printed Gun, stalked and fatally shot Thompson on a Manhattan sidewalk, and was allegedly driven by anger toward the Health Insurance Industry.

Prosecutors call the killing a “Symbolic Takedown”.

Mangione’s State Trial is expected to proceed before his Federal Case.
