Up to $1m in DRA Assets Missing, Says Chair

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A recent inventory exercise at the Disaster Reconstruction Authority revealing that up to $1m in supplies and equipment are missing.

Chairman of the Disaster Reconstruction Authority Alex Storr says an investigation continues into the missing money.

The revelation as Storr was giving an update on the DRA assets seized from Friendship Tabernacle Church on Abaco.

He says the supplies are now being housed at the DRA’s warehouse.

Last month, police officers recovered the goods from the church which the DRA said was part of an ongoing investigation.

The chairman says the DRA is now going after assets that remain outstanding.
