WORLDWIDE – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating potential engine failures in 1.4 million Honda and Acura models, covering Honda Pilot, Acura MDX, Honda Odyssey, Acura TLX, and Honda Ridgeline vehicles from 2016-2020.

The issue involves connecting rod bearing failures in 3.5-liter v6 engines, potentially leading to engine shutdowns.

Honda previously recalled 250,000 vehicles for similar issues, but 173 complaints remain from owners whose cars weren’t included in that recall.

Honda has pledged cooperation with the investigation.
