Vatican: Pope Francis’ Condition Shows ‘Slight Improvement’

VATICAN CITY – The Vatican said Pope Francis’ health has slightly improved on Monday, however the 88-year-old remains hospitalized with pneumonia.

Doctors reportedly remain cautious but report no asthmatic crises and improved lab results.

The Vatican says oxygen therapy continues at reduced levels.

The Pope, now in his 10th hospital night, reportedly rested in the morning and resumed work in the afternoon.

The Vatican said Francis sent his thanks to those praying for his recovery.
