NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Today is National Earth Day and in honor of this, The Bahamas National Trust welcomed locals for activities like hiking and birdwatching at national parks across the country.

BNT Executive director Lakeisha Anderson-Role says the trust is hoping to encourage Bahamians to visit their national parks.

The BNT hosted activities at all of its national parks.

Environment Minister Vaughn Miller also visiting the parks stressing the importance of taking care of the planet.
