Visitor Arrivals up Across the Country

Visitor arrivals are up according to figures revealed at a Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association Board of Directors and Membership Meeting.

FREEPORT, GRAND BAHAMA – Visitor arrivals are up, as the latest numbers were revealed during a Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association Board of Directors and Membership Meeting, Thursday.

Stakeholders in the tourism industry giving an update on their efforts as the nation’s number one industry continues to rebound more than two years into the pandemic.

And things are looking positive for Grand Bahama.

Marketing consultant of the Grand Bahama Island Tourism Board Carmel Churchill noting that as of May 2022, air and sea arrivals are up by some 44.6 percent.

President and Cheif Executive Officer of the Nassau Airport Development Company Vernice Walkine says passenger performance over the past two months is improving.

Minister of Economic Affairs Michael Halkitis says the numbers are encouraging, adding that cruise arrivals have also increased.
