NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Visual artist Angelika Wallace-Whitfield has been a professional artist while working a “traditional job” for the last decade but in 2019, she says left her job to pursue art full-time.

Wallace-Whitfield specializes in public art and murals and describes her work as “very Bahamian themed”.

As a featured artist for the Bahamas Culinary and Arts Festival presented by Baha Mar, she says she is excited to see the various artists coming together.

For Fuze, Wallace-Whitfield, will continue a series from her previous solo exhibition, focusing on family photos.

Now Fuze encompasses the art component of the festival and will feature artists and galleries from across the region.

Wallace-Whitfield believes the initiative is a long-overdue.
