UNITED STATES – Walmart is recalling 850,000 Ozark Trail 64-ounce Stainless Steel Water Bottles after reports that the lid can forcefully eject, posing serious injury risks.
UNITED STATES – Walmart is recalling 850,000 Ozark Trail 64-ounce Stainless Steel Water Bottles after reports that the lid can forcefully eject, posing serious injury risks.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the hazard arises when perishable or carbonated drinks are stored for long periods. Three injuries were reported, including two cases of permanent vision loss.
The bottles were sold since 2017 for about $15. Affected units are silver, have a black screw cap, and bear model number 83-662 on the packaging.
Consumers are urged to stop using them immediately and return to Walmart for a full refund.
