NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – A family prepares to bury a traffic fatality victim who’s life was cut short 10 days ago, as she slept in the backseat of the car.

Her parents and siblings left behind, remember her for her energetic loving spirit.

Our Joshua Williams sat down with them in this exclusive.

“It’s it’s really hard to believe that she’s gone. I can’t I can’t say” – Phillipa Adderley, mother of Chanell Adderley

That’s reality setting in for Dion and Phillipa Adderley, heartbroken as their daughter Chanell Adderley was one of the country’s recent car crash victims.

The teenager died, on January 19th after the car she was in crashed into a wooden pole on Prince Charles Drive.

A message at midnight confirmed she was on her way home from a function.

But as time passed and she didn’t show up, they knew something was wrong.

“We went to the friends house to go look for her. We saw the accident, but my husband came out and he spoke to the officer, he said the passenger died but he never said that the passenger was a male or female.” – Phillipa Adderley

“We found out from one of the passengers father that she had passed.” – Phillipa Adderley

It’s a heartbreaking ending to a life cut short.

The outpouring of support- evident in the flowers and cards in their living room in tribute.

And in the midst of this nightmare, they’re looking back on the good times.

Her dad sharing a video made the morning she died.

“Every time I’m on the drive I got to be in a TikTok video so she’s holding up a phone and she’s like that and she got to do a TikTok video and so you know I’ll be like you know Chanel man I driving and I you know I was like so amazing to know what you would not do right now to have those bunch of TikTok videos and to hear her bother you and for you to say like leave would accept all of that right now” – Dion Adderley, father of Chanell Adderley

“From everyone who stepped in tremendously, I have to give things to literally everybody who are because persons were stepping in big time, but only way to get through this continue to dress like I realize that he doesn’t make mistakes on” – Dion Adderley
