NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Livery drivers are on the defense, shooting down claims that there’s an ongoing between hired drivers at the airport.

The Bahamas Livery Association straight out denying assertions that there’s an ongoing war between taxi and livery drivers.

On Monday, Taxicab Union President Wesley Ferguson said as much and called on authorities to step in before the situation escalates.

One livery driver told our news he believes taxi drivers are jealous of them because, “they drive nicer cars and wear nice clothes”.

But the Taxicab Union president alleges that livery drivers go into the terminal to take guests directly to their cars.

Meanwhile, Bahamas Livery Drivers Association President Torrn Williams, says the issue is that the airport lacks management at international arrivals in the evenings.
