NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The sixth edition of the Best of The Best event will be held at Montagu Beach beginning Thursday.

Organized by the Ministry of Works and Family Island Affairs, over 200 sailors in classes A, B, C and D from throughout our islands will compete to see who’s the best like the title says.

A big feature of this year’s edition will be the youth showcase, which is in keeping with the government’s initiative to grow the sport and develop a grassroots pipeline for sailors.

The National Women’s Soccer Team Head Coach is  Ricquea Bain. She gave a shout-out to her team’s impressive play in their last match when they tied the US Virgin Islands at 0 apiece in St. Croix.

Forward Rachel Rolle says that the team is ready to defend at home and get their first win in their rematch against them on Wednesday.

That match is at 3pm at the Roscow A. Davies Field.

Admission is free so get out there and let’s cheer them to their first win.

Deandre Ayton and his Portland Trailblazers got the better of Buddy Hield’s Indiana Pacers last night 114-110.

Ayton stepped up big time for the Blazers, scoring 22 points on 9-13 shooting while grabbing 13 rebounds while Hield had a rough night from the field, scoring 9 points on 3 of 9 shooting.

The Pacers will try to get back in the win column against the Heat on Thursday while Ayton and the Blazers will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
