NASSAU , THE BAHAMAS – The Progressive Liberal Party is officially launching it’s re-election campaign on Monday night.
The event is one of the last public events before the party takes a break for the holy period of Lent and expected to focus on the the 4 year successes of the party.

In the absence of a convention rumored to be happening this month, the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) is launching it’s re-election campaign with a spectacular “Show and tell” style .
41 candidates will help to ignite the campaign where a big part of the focus will be on accomplishments, as the platform and pathway to re-election.
Digital lead for their campaign Senator D’asante Small shed some light on what they intend to roll out.

“I don’t think this just signals that election is coming, it speaks to the fact that the PLP is presenting to you our story, our record, our progress but also how are we going to build on that; so its not just what we’ve done, its saying this is what we plan on doing to advance our country even further”
The audience will comprise of PLP supporters from all over The Bahamas, who are expected to fill the site at Bahamar on Monday nigh.

“We have PLPs from north in Bimini to the south in Inagua; we have watch parties going on in our family islands as well so whether its in person or virtually you know that Bahamians everywhere are tuned in.”
There was no impression that there would be any of the kinds of surprises that these events can sometimes bring. Instead, it appears it will be about the party’s track record.

“I think the message tonight is very strong; it speaks to our progress, it speaks to our accomplishments but it also speaks to the work we have left to do.What you’re going to get is real substance, you’re going to hear from us for real and hear our story and hear the progress we have made and how we’re championing to continue the work.”
Elizabeth candidate, Jobeth Coleby-Davis is one of the main speakers of the night.

“I will be speaking to a lot of the progress that we’ve made in energy and some of the other ministries like housing agriculture but speaking on how we have transformed our country and the progress that we intend to build on.”
The event gets started on Monday at 8pm.
