NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Tucked in a library in Elizabeth Estates are gems from the past that give us a sneak peek into Bahamian life that predates independence.

Displays of antique household items, vintage music records, and throwback technology decorated the library as residents were treated to tours of the displays.

Library Supervisor Janet Adamson says the exhibition covers topics such as woman suffrage, something that can benefit students. Library officials are inviting more people to view the tour which lasts until the end of the month and is free of charge.

Adamson encourages Bahamian youth to learn about their history.
