Woman And Man Arrested For Marijuana

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A woman and a man have been arrested in separate incidents in Grand Bahama for marijuana possession.

Around 11pm on Thursday, police were conducting routine road checks in the area of Holmes Rock when they stopped a blue Saturn being driven by a woman.

The officers conducted a search and found a quantity of suspected marijuana and marijuana seeds in the driver’s door panel and a backpack.

The woman, who police say is a resident of West End, was then arrested.

Also, just before 8pm on Tuesday, officers from the mobile patrol were in the area of Fiddlers Green when they stopped a brown Chevrolet being driven by a man.

A search netted a quantity of marijuana found in the car and in the driver’s pants pocket.

The man was then arrested.

Investigations into both matters continue.
