NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Lots of work has already gone into the Village Road Improvement Project and the next target will be leveling manholes that currently pose a safety threat to motorists.

The Village Road Improvement Project is in the final stages of their complete overhaul and renewal of one of the country’s busiest roads.

We’ve seen them discuss the road itself, as well as plans for improved sidewalks along the major thoroughfare but now they’re going a step further to address something that may seem like a small inconvenience but can pose a safety issue when it’s your turn to dodge them.

And while much of the driving public has the experience of dodging manholes much like they would a pothole, the resident engineer says the ultimate concern is emergency vehicles and passengers who may hit the manholes at high speeds.
