XBB1.5 Variant Causing Global Surges

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The new strain of the Omicron variant, XBB1.5 is causing a global surge. This is according to Director of the National HIV/AIDS and Infectious Disease Programme, Dr. Nikkiah Forbes.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The new strain of the Omicron variant, XBB1.5 is causing a global surge. This is according to Director of the National HIV/AIDS and Infectious Disease Programme, Dr. Nikkiah Forbes. 

Health officials confirm that the variant is now found in about 70 countries, however; there is no evidence of XBB1.5 being found in The Bahamas.
