10 Mayaguana Residents Evacuated, Says OPM

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Office of the Prime Minister released a statement yesterday afternoon confirming only 10 Mayaguana residents left the island.

Officials had initially expected 21 people to evacuate ahead of Hurricane Fiona.

The OPM statement also confirmed accommodations for those Mayaguana residents will be handled by the administrators office in Exuma until they’re given the all clear to return.
