NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A routine search of a container netting about a million dollars in drugs.
Officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit and Customs working together seized 142 pounds of what they suspect is cocaine.
Police say it happened in a routine search at The Arawak Cay Container Port around 5am on Thursday morning.
The drugs were smuggled in 53 packages and estimated at $1,060,000 on the streets.
No arrests have been made.
