NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Twenty foreign nationals have been convicted in Magistrate’s Court for immigration offenses.

Reports say on April 22nd and 24th, fifteen Haitians, four Indians, and one Jamaican pleaded guilty to charges of overstaying and illegal landing.

They were fined amounts ranging from $250 dollars to $2,500 dollars or sentenced to time at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.

All were ordered to be deported after paying their fines or serving their sentences.
