NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The 2023 edition of the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship is all set to begin next Monday, May 8th. 

The tournament will feature the top teams from the  Americas: Belize, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guadalupe, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States and the host country, The Bahamas.

The field will be split into three groups; The Bahamas will be in Group B with Mexico, Guatemala and Belize.

The Bahamas squad’s first match is against Guatemala on Monday at 7:30 pm, so be sure to show up in your black, aqua and gold to cheer on our hometown heroes. 

Meanwhile, Deandre Ayton and his Phoenix Suns lost game two of their western conference semifinal matchup with the Denver Nuggets 97-87. 

Ayton had 14 points and eight rebounds on 7 of 10 shooting, but he had his hands full all night guarding Nuggets Center Nikola Jokic, who scored 39 points and grabbed 16 rebounds on his watch. 

Devin Booker led the Suns in scoring with 35 points and Kevin Durant had 25 and eight rebounds.

Their series continues on Friday night.
