55-Year-Old Denies Committing Sex Crimes Against Children

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 55-year-old has denied committing sex crimes against children. 

Prosecutors say Samuel Russell had sexually explicit videos of a 15-year-old in his cellphone on July 30.

The images were allegedly found in his mobile device while he was in custody on suspicion of indecently assaulting a nine-year-old the day before.

Russell denied charges of child pornography and indecent assault at his arraignment before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain.

Russell was granted $8,000 bail on each case and is prohibited from contact with the alleged victims and other witnesses.His trial is set to start on October 2.
