NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Legendary Bahamian music artist Phil Stubbs is returning to the stage this weekend, after over twenty years.

Stubbs is originally from Cat Island, but now resides in Grand Bahama.

Stubbs is well known for his popular songs that describes the country’s history as well as its culture.

The artist, who has a background in music since he was a little boy, started to become popular in the community of West End, Grand Bahama for his musical skills.

Stubbs got inspiration from the community around him, watching two people dancing, and creating e “West End Move”.

From there he produced hit after hit and popular songs like “Cry of the Potcake” and “Stress” – just two of the musicians catalogue of 130 songs.

Stubbs tells Our News his career has been very rewarding and after being off the stage for years, he says it’s an honor to return.

The concert will be held Friday night at The Farm on Marshall Road.
