NASSAU, BAHAMAS – What do the people want to see on nightly news?

In an atmosphere where interest in watching the news has dropped around the world, we polled viewers like you to find out.

The verdict is in: people want more good news.

“I don’t watch the news” is something you’ve probably heard or even said more often since the pandemic, with an average of 58% of the people we polled online on Facebook and Twitter saying they avoid depressing news.

Still, about 89% of those polled said they’re still interested in news.

So what’s keeping them from watching? Here’s what the people we spoke to Friday had to say, when we asked why they weren’t interested in news.

But their were others who were still interested in news.

Still there was one common thread between them all, people want more good news.
