NASSAU, BAHAMAS – From the legal profession to overseeing senate proceedings Lashell Adderley has come a long way since her first year as senate president, admitting she’s a bit “more settled”.

Following the 2021 General Elections, Adderley was thrust into the senate presidency and into the public eye.

When she’s not having to battle Senate debates and keeping up with daily life demands, she’s trying to keep a balance through meditation.

She’s proud of the Senate’s legislative agenda as well as getting closer to the people.

One issue she’s hoping to see on Parliament’s legislative agenda this session is the controversial martial rape law.

Now technically there’s still time left in this administration and Adderley says there are some bucket list items she would like to put a check mark against.
