NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Organizers described Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival’s Art of the Plate soirée as an evening where food transforms into a canvas, plates become galleries, and every bite narrates a story.

For me, the event was nothing short of an artistic masterpiece.

Held in the Grand Ballroom of Baha Mar’s Convention Center, the venue’s decor struck a perfect balance between sophistication, couture, and art.

The tables were arranged into four unique dining experiences, with each station named after an artist and featuring an immersive four-course menu crafted by a team of the festival’s headlining chefs.

The food was plated with intention, drawing you deeper into the essence of the event, which focuses on translating the rich cultural tapestry of the Caribbean into edible art.

As we savored our meals, the chefs made their way to each of their stations, engaging with the guests.

Hosted by Anastarcia Palacious, guests were drawn to the dance floor during breaks in the courses by the captivating sounds of the Dazzle Band.

Prominent businessman Sir Franklyn Wilson and his wife, lady Sharon Wilson, both praised the event with enthusiastic reviews.

“The leadership of Baha Mar deserves the highest possible commendation, it is telling the world what The Bahamas is really all about. This is amazing.”

Vice-chair and International Head of Global Family Office Group at Scotia Bank, Caroline Bell-Ritchie concurred with the couple’s sentiments.
