UNITED STATES – American Airlines is back in the skies after a Nationwide Groundstop disrupted one of the busiest travel days of the year–Christmas Eve.

The airline says a ‘vendor technology issue’ caused all flights to be grounded earlier this morning, but it’s been resolved.

The FAA lifted the Groundstop after about an hour, though many flights are still delayed by one to two hours.

Travelers are advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
