NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Bahama Out Islands Promotion Board Executive Director Kerry Fountain says while the out islands are seeing success on a macro level, the performance varies by island.

In his report during The Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association Board of Directors and Membership virtual meeting, he compared numbers coming out of the islands from the first half of this year to numbers from 2019, The Bahamas’ banner year.

Fountain says Long Island, Exuma, and San Salvador are almost on par with 2019 numbers, while Eleuthera and Cat Island are struggling as a result of a lack of room inventory.

For the more successful islands, the statistics only get more impressive when fountain brings up room revenue.
