NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The issue of abortion sparking a nationwide debate following news of a mother allegedly helping her child abort the baby after she was impregnated by the mom’s boyfriend.

At-home abortions using pills are becoming a growing trend but it is not always the safest option when trying to terminate an unwanted pregnancy.

OBGYN, Dr. Nina Graham explains that while getting your hands on the pills may be easy, there are complications and then there’s the possibility of an infection.

Section 313 of the Penal Code says abortion is justifiable in circumstances where an unborn child dies while its mother is receiving medical or surgical treatment not intended to cause an abortion, miscarriage, premature delivery or the death of the child.

Dr. Nina advising the procedure should always be done, legally and by a professional.
