Accused Murderer Back Behind Bars for Armed Robbery

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of a 2020 murder is back behind bars accused of committing new crimes.

Thirty-six-year-old Kenneth Cummings is accused of violating his bail conditions and committing an armed robbery while awaiting trial for the December 8, 2020 murder of Vincent Knowles.

Prosecutors allege that Cummings held up Aaron Bethel at gunpoint on November 21, 2025 and robbed him of a $720 and an iPhone 11.

Cummings appeared before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley on the armed robbery charge and was not required to plea.

Bail was denied and the matter was adjourned to May 7 for the presentation of voluntary bill of indictment papers.

Cummings appeared before Magistrate Lennox Coleby Sr accused of failing to report to police between August 1, 2025 and January 28 as part of his bail conditions.

He pleaded not guilty and the matter was adjourned to February 10 for trial.
