NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper says the record-breaking tourist arrivals figures don’t include arrivals for November and December as forward bookings for December remain strong.

Cooper told the room full of industry professionals, the year started strong than years before.

The United States remains the top market and Cooper says the Latin American market is growing.

But air arrivals weren’t the only area that saw a boost.

With the boom in arrivals, there remains concern that visitors aren’t spending when they arrive to the various destinations.

But as Cooper explains it’s estimated visitor spend will also see an uptick by the end of the year.
