NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Amid ongoing talks between government and petroleum dealers, Economic Affairs Minister Michael Halkitis says the government isn’t concerned about any action by the sector.

His comments comes after weeks of discussion, but still no resolve.

Halkitis says the issue is a complex one but maintains the government will not make any decision that could result in an increase at the pumps.

Recently, Sun Oil Limited Chairman Sir. Franklyn Wilson revealed wholesalers also want an increase in price margins.

He says both retailers and wholesalers have submitted proposals that are being reviewed.
