AFRICA – African health ministers were invited to an “extraordinary virtual meeting” to be held October 28th to discuss the spread of ebola.

It has since infected more than 9,500 people, killed nearly half of them, and is now affecting three regions of Africa, making it the fastest-spreading ebola outbreak in history, since it was declared in May.

The outbreak involves the rare bundibugyo virus, for which there is no approved vaccine or treatment.

France has also recorded a case.
