NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The attorney general looking to outline the government’s position on the FTX drama as bankruptcy proceedings continue and The Bahamas’ reputation takes a hit internationally.

Attorney General Ryan Pinder says a lot of false information is swirling and insists that needs to be corrected.

He also insists there are false and misleading messages as bankruptcy proceedings drag on.

Pinder is expected to give an address on the FTX issue on Sunday, which he says will lay down the government’s position and response to the matter.

The Bahamas has gotten a lot of international flack after the company’s downfall.

Prime Minister Philip Davis recently called the criticism unfair.

Pinder cautioned against the use of certain words.

The Securities Commission of The Bahamas froze the assets of FTX Digital Markets and appointed joint provisional liquidators.

FTX filed for bankruptcy the following day.
