CANADA – An Air Canada Express flight with 73 passengers onboard was evacuated Saturday night after a suspected landing gear issue at Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

CANADA – An Air Canada Express flight with 73 passengers onboard was evacuated Saturday night after a suspected landing gear issue at Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

The Bombardier Q400 aircraft landed around 9:30 p.m. local time and came to rest partially on its belly.

No injuries were reported, however, the incident temporarily closed the airport, and one runway remained shut.

Canada’s transportation safety board is investigating.
