An investigation is currently ongoing after a group of 22 Akhepran students from the primary and senior levels ingested marijuana edibles purchased by one of the students and shared around the school campus.

Founder and CEO Dr. Jacinta Higgs was participating in a conference when she received a call from the principal informing her of the situation.

Once school staff became aware of the situation, emergency medical services personnel were called. Higgs says out of the four students taken to hospital, two are at home resting and the other two are still receiving medical care.

As an investigation is launched , Higgs says she believes expulsion is a last resort, but it is still a criminal matter.
