American Arrested for Gun In Luggage
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 37-year-old American tourist was arrested at the Lynden Pindling International Airport for allegedly bringing a gun in his luggage.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 37-year-old American tourist was arrested at the Lynden Pindling International Airport for allegedly bringing a gun in his luggage.
Brent Ammons of Birmingham, Alabama was headed to Cat Island for his wedding when the Beretta 9mm pistol and 12 rounds of ammunition were found on December 21.
Ammons pleaded not guilty to bringing a firearm into The Bahamas and possession of ammunition at his arraignment on Friday before Magistrate Samuel Mckinney.
He was granted $12,500 cash bail. Ammons is due back in court on January 20, 2023.
