NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An American tourist who injured a security guard during an argument with his sister has been granted a conditional discharge.

Florida resident Adrian Martin pleaded guilty to causing harm at his arraignment before Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans.

The charge stems from a March 16 incident at the Sandals Resort.

The court heard that Martin slammed a door and smashed the guard’s finger.

Martin, 40, was ordered to pay $500 in compensation to his victim to avoid spending two months behind bars.
