UNITED STATES – Deandre Ayton has been much maligned by the NBA media and fans on social media, but his play recently has begun to silence some doubters.

Ayton finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds in the Lakers’ 142-130 win over the Chicago Bulls at Crypto Arena in L.A.

He shot 10-13 from the field in 37 minutes and notched his 20th double double of the season.

The Lakers have now won 5-6 games in March, 41-25 on the season, third in the Western Conference.

NCAA Basketball

Bahamian national team player, A.J Storr and Ole Miss continued to pull off major upsets in the postseason.

Ole Miss is making noise in the SEC tournament with back-to-back upsets.

Storr had a team high 19 points in a 76–72 win over Georgia to advance to the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile in the Mountain West Tournament, Deyton Albury scored 13 points with four rebounds and four assists for New Mexico in a 93-77 win over San Jose state.

NCAA Basketball

Bradley Lightbourne’s senior season of milestones will continue at the NCAA DII tournament.

The William Jewell Cardinals are NCAA tournament bound after winning the Great Lakes Valley Conference title, 67–48 in the championship game.

Lightbourne had 18 points and 14 rebounds.

The Cardinals will open tournament play as an 8 seed on Saturday against top Seed Walsh in the midwest regional.
