NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – Fireworks lit up the skies over New Providence Saturday night as Americans and visitors celebrated the 4th of July.

One of the biggest celebrations took place at Atlantis Paradise Island. Our Denielle Miller was there and brings us the highlights.

The shoreline at Paradise Harbor came alive Saturday evening as Atlantis hosted its annual fourth of July celebration.

Hundreds of locals and visitors from across the globe and the United States of America were present.

This year’s celebration also recognized the 250th anniversary of the United States independence.

The family-friendly event featured classic American favorites – food, a mini carnival, live entertainment and activities for all ages.

And beyond the music and festivities, many guests took a moment to reflect on the meaning of the holiday and the freedoms it represents.

The evening culminated with a spectacular fireworks display over Paradise Harbor, bringing the celebration to a dazzling close.
