AUSTRALIA – An Australian court hearing claims of an alleged sexual assault by a former staffer, which is said to have taken place inside the House of Parliament.

Former Staff Brittany Higgins, arriving to court with her legal team, is accusing high profile former Liberal Party Staff Bruce Lehrmann of sexually assaulting her in the offices of the former defense industry minister.

Higgins first went public with the allegations last year, sparking a review of the workplace
culture in the Australian parliament.

The accused has pleaded not guilty.
