The Big Man Gets a Double-Double Against Washington

PHEONIX, AZ, USA – Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton scored 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds against the Washington Wizards last night as his sons lost to the Wiz, 113-110. 

Landry Shamet led the Suns with 31 points off the bench to go with 5 assists and 2 rebounds, but the rest of the team struggled in their second game in 2 nights. Chris Paul had 12 points and 11 assists however he struggled to score as he made 3 of 11 field goal attempts and he did not score until midway through the 3rd quarter. 

The Suns, who were playing without leading scorer Devin Booker, were up by as much as 10 points in the fourth quarter before melting down, giving up 33 points in the quarter, 25 of which were off turnovers. 

Kyle Kuzma led the Wizards with 29 points as well as 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Bradley Beal chipped in 27, 6 and 6. 

This was only the Suns’ fourth loss at home all season making their record 14-4 in their home arena.

They’ll try to bounce back on Thursday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. This game will be on ESPN at 10pm for Bahamian fans of Ayton.
