NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 21-year-old babysitter has been charged with cruelty to children after a six-week old boy allegedly sustained injuries while in her care.

Curria Lewis is accused of inflicting bruises to the infant’s back, stomach, and left eye on June 19.

Lewis, who is also the child’s godmother, pleaded not guilty to the charge at her arraignment before Senior Magistrate Shaka Serville.
