NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Aquatics Federation held their winter meet – the first official meet for 2025.

It’s a meet more about time qualifications than competition and swimmers achieved just that with several swimmers meeting CARIFTA qualifying times at the meet which began on Friday.

We spoke to Bahamas Aquatics President Algernon Cargill about that.

Our News also caught up with several coaches who spoke about their swimmers during the meet.

Swimmers are preparing in earnest for CARIFTA which will be held Easter weekend in Trinidad and Tobago.

LDK Performance will host clinics on Grand Bahama next Friday at the YMCA.

The weekend will begin with a talk on Friday for young athletes and their parents where Antoan Richardson and other pro sports figures will break down the tools to success.

They hit the field on Saturday with a coaches’ clinic from 9 am to 12 pm followed by a clinic for players from 1-4 pm.

Richardson is happy to share his knowledge with the people of Grand Bahama.
