Bahamas Pro Bowl Set and Jonquel and Liberty Set to Take on the Dream

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Pro Bowl weekend is going down June 24th at the Thomas A. Robinson stadium. 

The event, which is a collaboration with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture will feature Bahamian NFL wide receiver Mike Strachan along with NFL stars Keenan Allen, his teammate Mike Williams, Superbowl Champ Rashad Fenton and a host of other players, including two surprise players, teaching fundamentals to and sharing valuable experiences with children ages 7 to 18. 

The event will run 12-3 pm. 

Meanwhile Jonquel Jones and the New York Liberty are in the a to take on the Dream. 

Jones is slowly working her way back from a foot injury averaging nine points and four rebounds. Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart are picking up the slack. 

They go against a 2-3 Atlanta team led by Cheyenne Parker and Ryne Parker. 

Also the Grand Bahama Primary Schools Arthur Parris/Mary Nabb League played their soccer championships on Thursday

In the Girls’ Division, Freeport Primary, coached by Ravano Ferguson got the win over Bishop Michael Eldon 3-0. Izarra Ferguson was the MVP. 

Bishop Michael Eldon did win the Boys’ Division, getting the win over Tabernacle 4-0. 

Stone Higgs was the MVP.
