UNITED STATES – Jazz Chisholm went 1- 4 with a single and he stole his 18th base of the season.

Our Bahamian cousin-in-law Cody Bellinger also hit a home run, but his New York Yankees’ pitchers couldn’t hold the line. Starter Ryan Weathers gave up 6 earned runs in 4 and one-third inning. They lost 8-5 to their division rivals, the Blue Jays.

Coach Antoan Richardson and his Atlanta Braves also came up short against a division foe. They lost 7-5 to his former team, the New York Mets.

Matt Olson hit a home run, but starting pitcher Spencer Strider got rocked, giving up all 7 runs in 6 innings.

Down in the minors, BJ Murray continues to be one of the best hitters in Triple-A. He went 2-3 with a triple and a double and he drove in 3 rbi to help his Iowa Cubs get a 6-4 win over the Louisville Bats.

Kristian Robinson’s numbers faded after his hot start, but he had a strong performance last night, going 2-3 with a couple of singles. But his Reno Aces came up short, falling 8-7 to the Salt Lake Bees.

Cavalier FC and Renegades FC are going at it for the BFA women’s knockout round championship right now at the Roscow A Davies field.

Cavaliers emerged after a hard-fought 2-1 battle over United in the semifinal earlier this week to punch their ticket to the final, while Renegades had a much easier journey, coasting to a 4-0 semifinal win over Dynamos in their semifinal matchup earlier this week.

The winner of tonight’s match will have the privilege of calling themselves champs.
