UNITED STATES – Klay Thompson and Deandre Ayton squared off in the lone start state with Thompson’s Dallas Mavericks falling to Ayton’s LA Lakers 116-110.

Thompson scored 6 off the bench in 14 minutes, knocking down 2 of 5 three pointers, and Ayton had 9 points in an uncharacteristic struggle of 4-16 from the field while grabbing a team-high 11 rebounds.

VJ Edgecombe and the Philadelphia 76ers fell to the New York Knicks 112-109. He had 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort.

Over in college, Donnie Freeman had 14 points and 4 rebounds in Syracuse’s 85-76 loss to the University of Miami.

Deyton Albury scored 9 as his New Mexico Lobos beat the Nevada Wolfpack 80-73.

Big Fred King had 16 and 11, but his Murray State Racers lost to Northern Iowa 81-76.

And Antonecia Moultrie had 5 in 11 minutes off the bench in her University of Ohio Bobcats 75-66 loss to Toledo.

The Bahamas Football Association announced on Friday that the 4v4 Youth Football Festival is a go.

Scheduled for February 7th at the Roscow A Davies field, the tournament will pit co-ed teams against each other in rapid-fire 4×4 action.

Boys and girls will compete in both the U-9 and the U-11 divisions and the matches are open to the public.
