Bahamians Make Their College Debuts

UNITED STATES – Wisconsin’s AJ Storr and Queen’s University’s Deyton Albury got to their programs through different routes.

Storr had a steady freshman year at St. John’s before hitting the transfer portal and Albury did his thing at Chipola Junior College transferring as a junior.

Storr had 15 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists to help lead his Badgers to a 105-76 thrashing of Arkansas State.

The 6’7″ wing, who spent this past summer with the national team went 6/13 from the line while making three of four from the charity stripe.

Albury, a 6’3″ combo guard showed off his all-around game dropping 19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead his team in those categories as his royals fell to Marshall University, 89-73.

Queen’s made the leap to division one last year and will lean on him heavily to produce for them in every aspect of the game.

Pan Am Games

Rashji Mackey competed in the 86 kg division in the pan-am games, losing to Cuban wrestler Yureski Torreblanca.

He would get another shot against Carlos Izquierdo in the repêchage, however, he would fall to him 4-0 as well, leaving the tournament with a 0-2 record.
