UNITED STATES – LeBron James sat out of the Philadelphia 76ers’ 127-116 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, allowing VJ Edgecombe to have the best game of his young season.

The 6’4″ combo guard from Bimini contributed a season-high 17 points and pulled down a beastly 13 rebounds in the effort.

All of his points came from long range, where he made 5 of his 10 attempts. Overall, he took 13 shots.

Joel Embiid had a big triple-double with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Jaylen Brown added 27 points.

Deandre Ayton and the Washington Wizards went up against Buddy Hield and the Bulls last night.

The Wiz got the better of that matchup, getting the 124-120 win.

Ayton had 6 points and 5 rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench.

Trae Young had 25 points and 10 assists to lead the Wiz.

Buddy Hield had 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in 16 minutes off the bench for the Bulls.

Promising Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson had a monster game, scoring 30 points and pulling down 14 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Klay Thompson found his shot last night, scoring 14 points on 5-12 shooting, and he made 4 of his 9 three-point attempts.

However, it wasn’t enough because the Miami Heat lost 115-110 to the Charlotte Hornets.

Stachan and Mountaineers Get Second Straight Win

The Mountaineers fought their way to a 24-20 win against Texas Christian University yesterday in Fort Worth.

Prince Strachan was the team’s leading receiver, logging only two catches for 24 yards.

Quarterback Mike Hawkins had a career-high 464 passing yards last week, but he only had 79 yesterday.

West Virginia’s defense looked shaky as ever, giving up 372 yards in the air to TCU quarterback Jaiden Craig, but they recovered two fumbles and got an interception in key moments to force stops.

The win is the Mountaineers’ second straight in the conference, putting them at a 5-3 record.

Strachan didn’t put up crazy numbers this week, but West Virginia has a bye next week, and on November 7th they’ll play a powerhouse – No.6 Texas Tech.

That one has the potential to be a full-fledged fireworks show.
