NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of killing a 60-year-oldd woman as she headed to a prayer meeting in 2022 has been denied bail.

Jarado Marshall, who according to police is a shooter for the Mad Ass gang, is accused of the January 18 shooting death of Claudette Capron.

She was headed to a prayer meeting at Resurrection Power Kingdom Ministry on Robinson Road on January 18 when she was killed by bullets intended for someone else.

Prosecutors say Marshall attempted to murder Antwan Adderley and Emilio Ramsey during the same shooting.

He’s further accused of robbing Kendra Ramsey of a 2011 Honda Fit at gunpoint.

Senior Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson denied bail on the grounds of public safety and that she believes he’s a flight risk.

Marshall’s trial is set for August 6, 2024.
